FAQ

What is your approach to crisis support?

At certain points of our life we may suffer from severe forms of physical and emotional pain, and experience extreme levels of loneliness, isolation, depression, and anxiety. While ideally all of these should be addressed systematically in order for changes in one's life to occur, at the moment of an acute crisis we may prioritize something as basic as having safe emotional space and connecting with another calm and non-judgemental person. Someone who will stay with us during a rough moment, provide immediate support, and help us activate our own resources.

What are your views on mental health?

I consider depression, anxiety, and loneliness to be symptoms of deeper problems — unlived grief, suppressed fear or guilt, never ending resentment or regret, etc. Without addressing these core issues, we risk living our lives without a strong foundation. While the primary way of working on these matters is psychotherapy, I also emphasize accounting for these factors in every aspect of our daily life by developing self-awareness and healthy habits.

What is your approach to coaching?

Coaching begins by helping one to identify their beliefs and values, the unspoken rules defining personal narratives and myths. Those can be explored by discussing our attitudes towards such topics as happiness, death, success, fear, freedom, and solitude.

In many cases, our internal constructs are similar to defense mechanisms caused by psychological traumas — being largely formed by social norms and traditions, they may have been useful at certain points in our lives but no longer serve their purpose. But who are we beyond those?

On the way to accomplishing personal goals, I emphasize the balance between setting, achieving, and adjusting those, as well as identifying the underlying motivations. The more conscious we are about setting up our goals, the more efficient we are at reaching them, and the more fulfilled we are once accomplished:

How do I achieve my goals? ⟷ What are my goals? ⟷ Why are these my goals?

This way, one develops a solid base while progressing in the desired direction. For example, as the true power comes from within, the key to developing qualities such as confidence or leadership lies in being more conscious and responsible for the choices, acknowledging the risks, and openly facing the unpredicted outcomes of our actions.

What are the “mindful practices”?

Awareness comes in different forms. It begins with developing a better understanding of the reasons for our feelings, thoughts, and actions. Whether you are consciously focusing on your feelings while stepping out of your comfort zone or observing and letting go of your thoughts while meditating, you are getting closer to your true self and becoming more connected with universe.
I will be happy to accompany you on your first steps in these or other directions.
